Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Dr. Pamela Morris-Perez is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator/Senior Research Coordinator to join her research team, to begin August 2024. Dr. Morris-Perez’s work spans three projects across two topical areas (early childhood school readiness and adolescent suicide): 1) the study of preventive parenting interventions in pediatric care with a focus on COVID-19 influences on parents and children (and particularly drawing from a study we conducted called Smart Beginnings); 2) addressing an innovative school-based mental health/suicide prevention program in the form of a film contest, “Directing Change,” that can be a catalyst for changing norms for suicide prevention school- and community-wide; and 3) addressing rising rates of attempts of Black youth through a systems-level strategy of screening and connecting youth to care who present to the emergency department.

The NYU Sustainable Engineering Initiative (SEI) is seeking to hire a team of Postdoctoral Researchers for projects related to decarbonization of chemical manufacturing. The SEI is an emerging initiative at NYU that aims to develop engineering solutions to avoid, mitigate, and remediate emissions responsible for climate change and environmental contamination, as well as engineering strategies to evaluate the impact of and adapt to these environmental challenges.
