2. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The post-doctoral fellow’s primary role will be to aid in analyses and manuscript development related to the Specific Aims. They will also engage in discussions with intervention experts to understand and improve the generalizability and utility of advanced longitudinal methods for adolescent substance use prevention and intervention efforts. The postdoctoral fellow will report to Dr. Kristine Marceau in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences, will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the proposed research, and will also take the lead in manuscripts and present at conferences. There will be additional collaborative opportunities with other ongoing studies in Dr. Marceau’s Biobehavioral Development Lab.

5. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Freeman in the School of Health Sciences at Purdue University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join their team. The specific position is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to identify toxicity mechanisms of persistent and/or latent neurotoxicity in the context of environmental exposures and neurodegenerative disease, specifically related to PFAS exposures and/or other environmental chemical exposures in rural populations. Expertise in molecular neurotoxicology and the zebrafish model system including genome editing using CRISPR and in creating transgenic/mutant zebrafish is preferred.

7. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The College of Agriculture at Purdue University is looking for a Post Doc Research Associate. The person in this position will take a lead role in developing and carrying out surveys of farmers and other relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities and barriers to organic farming systems in the region. The Post Doc will also assist with the identification of metrics that can be used to quantify the success of the project and work with the project team to collect and analyze data and track our efforts in meeting these metrics. Finally, the Post Doc will participate in all engagement activities and take a lead role in developing new methods for educating local farmers and other stakeholders.

8. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A driven postdoctoral associate is sought to join the neurotoxicology laboratory headed by Jason Cannon, Ph.D. The lab utilizes translationally relevant approaches to discover mechanisms of environmentally induced neurodegeneration and is well funded. The successful candidate will lead one of the following directions in the lab: 1) Neuromelanin-neurotoxicant interactions as primary mechanisms of dopaminergic neurotoxicity; 2) Adverse neurological outcomes induced by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS); and 3) Non-cholinergic targets of organophosphate induced neurodegeneration. In each of these projects, the successful applicant will have an opportunity to utilize comparative biology approaches as well as implement bidirectional translation, working across biological scale from primary mechanism of action through studies of human samples/subjects.
