The CLEAN Lab (kimlab.stanford.edu(link is external)) focuses on investigating the mechanisms underlying environmental toxicant-induced cardiovascular diseases and gene-environment interactions, with a specific emphasis on identifying modifiers of response to known toxicants leading to vascular diseases such as coronary artery disease. We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research candidate with a background in molecular biology, genetics, and/or toxicology, with strong preference for proficiency in bioinformatics and programming to analyze and present results from large genomic datasets including bulk-RNA and DNA sequencing, single-cell sequencing (RNA, ATAC), and whole genome sequencing datasets.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Retinal Signal Transduction Research: There is an open postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Michael S. Kapiloff, MD, PhD, Reinhard Family Professor in the Departments of Ophthalmology and Medicine. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated retinal physiologist with experience in mouse eye research as it may be applied to the in vivo study of retinal ganglion cell and astrocyte signal transduction. Current research in the Kapiloff lab addresses how calcium/calmodulin protein kinase II and cAMP signaling contribute to compartmentalized neuroprotective signaling in these cell types. Basic research concepts studied in the laboratory are being applied to the development of novel gene therapy vectors for the treatment of retinal diseases, in particular glaucoma
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
5. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Huttenhain Lab at Stanford University is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow with expertise in mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics to study the mechanisms of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling. The Huttenhain lab integrates cutting-edge MS-based proteomics, functional genomics, imaging, and other molecular biology techniques to profile the spatiotemporal nature of GPCR signaling networks.
