The position will commence at an agreed upon start date and initially corresponds to a one-year appointment, renewable for up to two years. We are looking for an applicant who has proven expertise in rodent surgical techniques, including surgeries, handling, and monitoring of rodents, as well as two-photon imaging. The applicant should be familiar with various approaches, including fluorescent microscopy, working with isolated vessels, immunofluorescence, western blot, and PCR. These should be demonstrated through the applicant’s peer-reviewed publications. The Post-Doctoral Fellow should be able to supervise and train students in lab techniques and experiments, assist with teaching Medical Pharmacology Problem Based Learning, and help with lab maintenance and ordering of supplies. The applicant should be able to collect and analyze data, compose manuscripts for publication, and prepare presentations.

The post-doctoral fellow will work as part of a team comprised of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate, and undergraduate students. Proven expertise in rodent surgical techniques (including performing surgeries, handling, and monitoring rodents), and two-photon imaging are critical. Knowledge and experience of breeding and maintaining genetically engineered mice colonies are required.
