2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Calico is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow who is excited to be part of a scientific team dedicated to unraveling the fundamentals of the aging process. We are looking for a scientist with a strong background in cellular and in vivo metabolism interested in applying this training to advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms by which metabolic interventions affect aging, as well as the metabolic inputs and outputs to a variety of aging-related diseases and signaling pathways. The successful candidate will work independently within the Metabolomics group and use state of the art methods toward the goal of expanding our basic understanding of how metabolism changes with age.

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Stress, Trauma and Resilience Lab at UCSF, directed by Dr. Sabra Inslicht, Ph.D. is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to work on a translational neuroscience project and clinical trial funded by the VA and UCSF. The project examines the effects of a drug intervention on physiological responses in Veterans with PTSD and insomnia. A primary goal will be developing and validating novel remote psychophysiological experimental procedures that will be used in the clinical trial. The Post-Doctoral Scholar works directly with the Principal Investigator. This is a 2-year position with the possibility of extension pending availability of funding and job performance.

5. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Yue Lab is seeking postdoctoral fellows to join the newly established team at the University of California, San Francisco. Affiliated with the Department of Physiology and the Neuroscience Graduate Program, our research investigates the complex interactions between neural tissues and bodily fluids. We focus on regions surrounding the brain’s ventricles, where the unique absence of a typical blood-brain barrier facilitates direct chemical exchanges between the brain, bloodstream, and cerebrospinal fluid. Our objective is to understand how cells at these critical interfaces regulate signals like hormones and metabolites and to uncover their contribution to neurological disorders.

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Martens Lab at the University of California, San Francisco (https://profiles.ucsf.edu/hanna.martens) is seeking postdoctoral researchers to lead projects focused on uncovering the fundamental mechanisms of physiological aging. The lab is particularly interested in investigating the key roles of tissue mechanics and innate immune signaling in shaping aging-related outcomes (Sladitschek-Martens et al., YAP/TAZ activity in stromal cells prevents ageing by controlling cGAS–STING, Nature, 2022). By leveraging genetic mouse models, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, imaging, mechanobiology assays, and flow cytometry, we explore how load-bearing structural cells contribute to maintaining youthful organ homeostasis and aim to identify the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive the progressive breakdown of connective tissue mechanics with age.

8. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We believe that the single most important aspect of a health policy fellowship is the experience of designing and conducting research projects under the guidance of a dedicated and outstanding mentor. We begin the process of identifying suitable research mentors for each candidate during the application and interview process and make every effort to connect each candidate with a variety of faculty members with similar interests and expertise. We place great emphasis on finding a good match between the fellow and the mentor that includes a common research interest as well as a complementary style that will foster the most productive working relationship.
