In our team, we aim the development of state-of-the-art frequency-tunable THz-wave sources which exploit new THz-wave application fields. Nonlinear optical process is utilized for realizing the THz-wave source which light up the THz-wave gray zone, and our original design and method will be demonstrated. We will develop THz sources with high output, wide tunability, high stability, and narrow linewidth. Active collaborations with internal and external research groups will be carried out for exploration of new application by development of instrument combined with new THz-wave sources.

The Laboratory for Chromosome Segregation is recruiting a research employee. The lab studies chromosome segregation in mammalian oocytes and early embryos. Specific research targets include oocyte-specific mechanisms for chromosome segregation, the diversity of chromosome segregation mechanisms during different life stages such as oocyte maturation, fertilization and embryonic development, aging-associated errors in chromosome segregation, and physical manipulation of chromosome segregation.
