1. Fully Funded PhD Position in Solution-processed lead-free Bi-based perovskite
Summary of PhD Program:
The main tasks will comprise the preparation of thin-film of Bi-based PSK in glovebox via solution-processing methods; characterization of the films (e.g., structure, morphology, surface), fabrication of small-scale photovoltaics and their characterization of their performance and stability.
Application Deadline: 2024-11-20
2. Fully Funded PhD Position in Design and synthesis of charge-transport materials for indoor photovoltaics
Summary of PhD Program:
The main tasks will comprise the synthesis of organic small molecules; their film processing with industrially acceptable solvents; spectroscopic characterization of solution and films. The scientific objectives include:
1) Sustainable and scalable synthesis and processability of organic and/or inorganic hole- and electron-transport materials (HTL, ETL) for lead-free Bi- and Sn-perovskites;
2) Synthesis and green processing of inorganic ETL (metal oxides) for organic IPV;
3) Study of the interfaces between charge-transport materials and other IPV device components to maximize the charge extraction and collection in IPVs.
Application Deadline: 2024-11-20

3. Fully Funded PhD Position in Quantum Matter and Information
Summary of PhD Program:
Over the past two decades, topological states of matter have taken a prominent role within both condensed-matter physics and quantum information theory. The macroscopic quantum-mechanical properties protected by the bulk topology in these systems produce effects that are not only exotic but also, at least in theory, robust to most local perturbations. With promising prospects within diverse areas ranging from energy storage to the engineering of robust qubits, the potential applications within future technology seem almost limitless and continue to spur further interest in the field.
Application Deadline: 2024-10-31
4. Fully Funded PhD Position in positioning and tracking of non-connected objects for vehicular safety with mm-Wave frequencies (DC10/MiFuture)
Summary of PhD Program:
The Doctoral Researcher will enroll as a PhD student at TAU at latest by the date that their contract will start and will actively participate in all the research and training activities of MiFuture network, including participation to regular networking events and 3-month secondment to our academic partner, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), in Spain. The Doctoral Researcher will spend 18 months at TAU (including the 3-month secondment at UC3M) and 18 months at Ericsson, Finland. The offered contract at TAU is 18 months, to be complemented by an 18-month contract at Ericsson.
Application Deadline: 15 October 2024
