1. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Meyers Lab and UT Center for Pandemic Decision Science at The University of Texas at Austin are immediately seeking outstanding postdoctoral scholars to contribute to modeling the spread, surveillance, forecasting, and control of COVID-19, influenza, RSV and other respiratory viruses. Research will be aimed at elucidating epidemiological characteristics, developing robust modeling tools to support outbreak preparedness and response efforts across the US, and providing decision-support for outbreak control efforts at the local, state and national levels.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. This position will be assigned for 1 year from the start date, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals, with the option to continue for up to 5 years. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work collaboratively with investigators in the Heart Center to generate analyzable clinical data to better understand and improve the patient and family outcomes of those diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease.

3. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The postdoctoral associate will work during 12 months on rifting and magma migration in the Earth’s lithosphere with a focus on Afar region. The ideal candidate will develop computational algorithms simulate melt migration in an extensional environment. The successful candidate will be tasked with integrating geologic and geophysical observations from Afar with the numerical models. The postdoctoral associate will be a part of a collaborative effort between UTIG and an ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche, ANR MAGMAFAR) at Sorbonne University in Paris.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The postdoctoral fellow will focus on brain-body integration studies using multiple data and analysis levels. An emphasis of the work will be to study how specific neurobiological measures in terms of molecular and genetic building blocks (RNA-sequencing of postmortem brain tissue at the cellular scale) are correlatively or causatively linked with adaptive and maladaptive phenotypes in health and disease across the lifespan.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
5. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Research Associate reports to Dr. Regina Mangieri in the Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology to perform research funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism to investigate the neurobiological mechanisms of pathological aggression and aggression-alcohol interactions. The person in this position will be responsible for performing research combines brain slice electrophysiology and circuit-based approaches with behavioral testing and pharmacology.

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Dr. Lee A. Fuiman and Dr. Hans A. Hofmann are seeking a postdoctoral fellow for a research project funded by the Texas Gulf Coast Research Center that is investigating the development of malpigmentation in Southern Flounder. The research project investigates malpigmentation by (1) conducting experiments to test the effects of specific hatchery practices on the incidence of malpigmentation and, by applying state-of-the-art molecular tools to samples obtained from those experiments, (2) to investigate the physiological and developmental pathways that are responsible for malpigmentation.

8. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The successful candidate will work in the plasma physics group by performing simulations and data analysis of solar wind turbulence. They will perform 1D to 3D hybrid simulations of Alfvénic fluctuations to use in conjunction with a machine learning algorithm to develop an augmented global model for the solar wind. The successful candidate will also perform data analysis from recent and past missions (Parker Solar Probe, Helios and Wind missions) to compare numerical predictions with observations. In this position, the successful candidate is expected to participate in weekly group meetings, and to disseminate results at workshops and conferences.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
9. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a postdoctoral fellow position (term subject to performance and research program needs/funding) to assist with a new research program largely focused on mapping disadvantaged communities (colonias) in Texas. A key focus of the research program is to use remote sensing and machine learning techniques to map and characterize the evolution of colonias through time. Essential for this position is the ability to a) implement remote sensing techniques to map the evolution of colonias through time, b) consider social and environmental stressors (including floods) on resident populations, and c) coordinate with academic and government collaborators from a wide array of backgrounds.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
10. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled hydroclimate postdoctoral fellow to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in atmospheric science, hydroclimate change, data analysis, and numerical modeling. The candidate will be based at UT Austin and be affiliated in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. The researcher will get an opportunity to actively collaborate with the Texas Water Development Board. Austin is a highly vibrant city and provides access to numerous activities beyond the research and academic experience through UT Austin.
