4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
This project is focused on the development of techniques for visually analyzing field-based data, in particular large-scale data that can be compactly represented by coordinate-based neural networks. The goal of the project is to develop processing methods for neural fields, methods that operate directly on the neural representation rather than sampled representations. Research topics consist of: comparison/alignment of neural fields, extracting statistical summaries, contouring/integrating neural fields, topology-based feature extraction, and generative model surrogates of simulations using neural fields.

5. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
A postdoctoral fellow position is now available in a NIH-funded laboratory at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Research from this laboratory is focused on understanding the mutualistic relationship between gut microbiota and the host with implications for normal gastrointestinal development and response to injury and/or inflammation. Research for this position will make a novel direction to elucidate the mechanisms by which human milk oligosaccharides regulate gut microbial homeostasis and intestinal epithelial integrity in adulthood and apply this knowledge to develop therapies for prevention and treatment of intestinal inflammatory diseases.

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Vanderbilt Genetics Institute (VGI) at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine was established to foster scientific interactions at the clinical, molecular, and analytical levels by providing state-of-the-art resources to Vanderbilt scientists involved in genetic and genomic research. VGI is led by Professor, Nancy Cox, who is the Mary Phillips Edmonds Gray Professor of Genetics. VGI is uniquely positioned to enable translational discoveries due to the enormous university-wide investments in biomedical informatics and precision medicine. These investments are exemplified by BioVU, a biobank of genetic material containing over 285k patient samples and Vanderbilt’s lead role in the President’s Precision Medicine Initiative and now All-of-US. Our school is committed to the principles of equal opportunity for employment.

11. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
This position is one of several postdoctoral positions that are funded through the North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves (NANOGrav) Physics Frontier Center (PFC); see http://nanograv.org. The goal of the NANOGrav PFC is to characterize the low-frequency gravitational-wave universe through radio-timing observations of pulsars. The postdoctoral researcher will be part of a diverse community of NANOGrav members in the United States and Canada and will benefit from mentoring by, and collaboration with, researchers at a range of institutions. The postdoctoral researcher will also be expected to play a large role in the work of the International Pulsar Timing Array (IPTA), particularly in driving forward its newest dataset and associated gravitational wave analysis, with ample opportunities for international travel and collaboration.
