1. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A postdoctoral research position is available in the lab of Dr. Hrish Kulkarni, a NIH-funded laboratory in the UCLA Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to drive how local innate immune responses, such as the complement system, modulates the severity of bacterial pneumonia. The overarching goal of our research program is to determine how epithelial cell-derived proteins can be harnessed to mitigate the risk of acute lung injury in various settings, to ultimately reduce the burden of end-stage lung disease.

8. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is currently recruiting for a full-time postdoctoral position in Dr. Philip Scumpia’s laboratory. This postdoctoral position is focused on understanding how the immune system contributes to skin disease toward our understanding of cutaneous wound healing, cutaneous infection, inflammatory skin disease, vaccine biology, and skin cancer. The laboratory is affiliated with the Department of Medicine/Division of Dermatology, the I3T, Bioengineering, and the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (Tumor Cell Biology Program) at the University of California, Los Angeles.

9. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A postdoctoral position is available in the Lawrence Laboratory in the Department of Biological Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The Lawrence Lab studies mechanisms of cellular stress response signaling at atomic, cellular and physiological scales. We are particularly interested in biochemical mechanisms defining how cellular stress response machinery senses and regulates cellular metabolic state, and how stress signaling drives cell-type-selective vulnerability in age-related neurodegenerative diseases. We welcome applications from motivated individuals interested biochemistry, structural biology, stem-cell based modeling of glial cells, or genomics/metabolomics-based projects.
