3. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Purdue High Energy Nuclear Physics group studies relativistic heavy-ion collisions as members of the STAR and sPHENIX experiments at RHIC, and the CMS experiments at the LHC. Our primary physics interests are in the areas of particle correlations and heavy flavor production to elucidate the properties of high-density QCD and the QGP. The group is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position focused on the CMS experiment at the LHC, with a modest amount of effort directed to ePIC at EIC.

4. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We are interested in candidates with expertise in computational and statistical genetics, quantitative genomics, and/or multi-omic data. The first postdoc, housed in the College of Liberal Arts/College of Science, should have expertise in human genetics/genomics. The second postdoc, housed in the College of Agriculture, should have expertise in plant or animal breeding genetics/genomics. The two postdocs will be expected to work together and lead projects aimed to develop and improve across-phyla methods to increase genomic prediction accuracy through the integration of multi-omic and large-scale phenotypic datasets in order to improve health and resilience in plants, animals (livestock), and humans.

5. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Quantum Semiconductor Systems Group under the direction of Prof. Michael Manfra seeks a scientist with expertise in semiconductor nanofabrication to support several projects related to the development and characterization of semiconductor and semiconductor-superconductor hybrid devices used in the study of abelian and non-abelian phases of matter and the development of topological qubits. This position focuses on innovative device fabrication for quantum technologies. Strong interest in construction of novel devices is essential. The position is funded as a post-doctoral fellowship with a minimal term of two years. Extension may be possible contingent upon future funding.

6. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The position will be in the area of large-scale atmospheric dynamics and climate. Possible investigation topics include but are not limited to developing process-oriented diagnostics for extratropical Rossby wave dynamics and weather extremes, and understanding jetstream dynamics, the role of moisture, atmospheric blocking and associated high-impact extreme weather events. The research activities will involve a combination of observations, theory, and/or idealized and comprehensive modeling. They will also work closely with collaborator Dr. Yi Ming at Boston College.
