1. Fully Funded PhD Position in Fluid Mechanics in the field of hydropower

Summary of PhD Program:

Fluid Mechanics comprises the study of flow in porous media, multiphase flow and rheology, linked to industrial production, fluid flow optimisation and design of energy technology applications and magneto hydrodynamics. Part load operation of hydraulic turbines is becoming more common with the introduction of intermittent renewable energies. Such operations induce unfavorable flow phenomena with large and undesirable pressure pulsations in the machines.
