PhD Thesis in Discovery, design, and characterization of novel Na-ion battery cathode materials via high-throughput screening. Conduct high-throughput search or computational design of inorganic Nacontaining materials to identify potential cathode candidates for Na-ion batteries. Perform detailed characterization of the most promising cathode materials to determine their electrochemical properties and suitability for battery applications. Employ advanced computational techniques, including density-functional theory (DFT) with DFT+U+V, to model complex transition-metal compounds and predict their behavior in Na-ion batteries.

Summary of PhD Program:
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD researcher in the domain of applied particle physics and detection technology to work on the project devoted to remote measurements of the particle radiation environment in the atmosphere. The project goal is to develop a portable sensor for neutral and charged energetic particles based on novel particle physics detection technologies. You will be responsible for detector construction and calibration.
You will design and implement modeling and testing algorithms as well as system for conducting measurements in laboratory and in the field. You will also have the chance to participate in the real verification campaigns at different radiation environments. And you will present your scientific results at international conferences and in scientific journals.
